An investigation into a Dublin‑based charitable organisation has resulted in the seizure of two BMW X5s and a range of high‑value items valued at almost €300,000.

Detectives from the Gardaí Money Laundering Investigation Unit carried out searches on Tuesday and Wednesday at several locations in Dublin and across the eastern and southern regions of the state.

The operation recovered two BMW X5 vehicles, estimated to be worth around €250,000, together with luxury goods including Louis Vuitton handbags, Rolex watches and jewellery totalling approximately €40,000.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed the probe is being conducted in conjunction with the office of the Charities Regulator, underscoring the collaborative effort to address suspected financial misconduct within the charitable sector.

The seized assets are being held pending further investigation and possible legal action.
