A 47‑year‑old woman, Ennis Dunne, was sentenced by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to two years and nine months…

Gardaí are investigating a series of car registration‑plate thefts in Limerick City that have been reported over the past few weeks.
The most recent incident occurred on 21 September at approximately 11 p.m. when a woman living in Castletroy contacted local Gardaí to report that the plates had been removed from her vehicle.
Sergeant Michelle O’Halloran, Crime Prevention Officer at Henry Street Garda Station, urged anyone who discovers missing plates to report the loss immediately. She warned that stolen registration plates can be fitted to another vehicle and used in the commission of a crime, highlighting the importance of prompt notification to Gardaí.
