Woman sentenced to 2 years 9 months for laundrette robbery
A 47‑year‑old woman, Ennis Dunne, was sentenced by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to two years and nine months…

Gardaí are still uncertain about the cause of death of James ‘Jamie’ McGinn, late 30s, and Bridget ‘Biddy’ O’Brien, early 40s, whose bodies were found in a house on Old Connaught Avenue, Cois Cairn estate, Bray on Tuesday.
Jamie’s body was discovered outside the front of the property while Biddy was found inside. Both were pronounced dead at the scene and have been sent to the Whitehall morgue for post‑mortem examinations.
Investigators are considering that Biddy may have died before her partner, noting no obvious signs of violence, and are also exploring the possibility that Jamie’s fatal injuries could have been self‑inflicted. The precise circumstances of both deaths remain to be established.
The couple were previously known locally after a tragic 2017 fire at their Clondalkin home that claimed the lives of their two young children, Jordan and Holly, as well as relatives Paris and Annmarie O’Brien. Biddy survived that fire with severe injuries and later recounted the trauma in the Irish Independent.
The deaths have shocked the tight‑knit community in the Wicklow town, where the pair were well known.
