Gardaí investigate multiple vehicle thefts on Inch Island

Gardaí are investigating a series of vehicle break‑ins on Inch Island that occurred on the morning of Monday 5 October.

The first incident took place between 4.40 am and 4.45 am at a house in the Bank End area, where a number of youths entered an unlocked jeep and stole a pair of Tiffany sunglasses and a retinoscope. Other vehicles at the property were also entered but nothing was taken.

Later, between 4.30 am and 6.30 am, further vehicles were targeted in the Inch Island area. At Carrickanee an unlocked van was broken into and a small sum of cash was removed. At Morress, several unlocked cars were entered at a house; while most were left untouched, a pink Verge Ultra 24 mountain bike was stolen from the premises.
