Woman sentenced to 2 years 9 months for laundrette robbery
A 47‑year‑old woman, Ennis Dunne, was sentenced by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to two years and nine months…

A 37‑year‑old man from Cobh pleaded guilty to drunken behaviour on a Ryanair flight from Barcelona to Cork and was fined €350 by Cork District Court.
Sergeant John Dineen told the court that gardaí received a report of an intoxicated passenger on the inbound flight. Garda James Davis met the aircraft on the runway and arrested the suspect, who was described as highly intoxicated, with slurred speech and unsteady on his feet.
The charge, brought under the Air Navigation and Transport Act, related to an incident on 1 March 2025 on Ryanair flight FR9307. It alleged that the passenger’s level of intoxication created a reasonable apprehension that he might endanger himself or others on board.
Darren Morley of 48 Stack’s Terrace, Cobh, Co Cork, appeared before Judge David Waters, who noted the offence carried only a financial penalty. The judge imposed a €350 fine and remarked that other charges could be considered for passenger disturbances, but this was the only charge before the court.
Mr Morley’s solicitor, Eddie Burke, said his client apologised for his conduct on the flight.
