Celia Holman Lee, the 75‑year‑old former model and founder of the Celia Holman Lee Model Agency, is “making progress” after a major health setback, her husband Ger Lee told the Sunday Independent.

Lee withdrew from public engagements in October to focus on her recovery. Ger Lee said the improvement is gradual but positive, adding that many supporters have described his wife as a “fighter”. He is considering having the word engraved on a ring for her when she leaves hospital.

The couple, married for more than five decades, said they have “been a team all our lives”. A family statement released earlier confirmed that Holman Lee would be unable to attend public duties for a period while she concentrates on her health.

The health concerns emerged while she was promoting her coffee‑table book *Glamour & Grit*, which celebrates six decades in the fashion industry.
