Irish Olympic runner Ciara Mageean dies aged 34
The Irish sporting community is mourning the death of Olympic middle‑distance runner Ciara Mageean, who died at 6.30 am…

Kildrum Tigers secured all three points in a seven‑goal thriller at Station Road, edging out Bonagee United after a tightly contested match.
The Tigers created the majority of chances and were rewarded with four goals – from Ciaran Gibson, Shea McDaid, Aaron Temple and an own‑goal – while their goalkeeper made two crucial saves to preserve the lead.
In a separate fixture, Kilmacrennan earned a valuable three points against league leaders Drumbar United at the Letterkenny Community Centre. Paul McLaughlin opened the scoring with an overhead kick after two minutes, and the defence, particularly Rueben Grimes and Artam, performed strongly.
Goalkeeper Chris O Donnell kept the back four organised, and despite a missed chance from Terence Shields on the half‑hour mark, Kilmac held on for the win.
Fintown overcame early pressure from Rovers, breaking the deadlock with a free from Keelan McMonagle and a header by JP Breslin, before extending the lead to 2‑0. Rovers pulled one back in the final minutes.
In a derby at Carrickboyle, Harps held firm in the closing stages, while Dunlewey and Gweedore United exchanged goals, with Brian McFadden and Conor Duffy each finding the net.
