Donegal League Saturday sees Fintown Harps and Kildrum claim victories

Fintown Harps returned to the top flight of Saturday football with a 2‑1 win over Kilmac, while Kildrum secured a 2‑0 triumph against St Catherine’s in the Donegal League.

Fintown opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Aaron McGlynn finished a chance created by Joao Pedro on the left wing. Kilmac equalised after a disallowed off‑side goal, with Abishek netting from a neat ball inside the right wing. Aaron McGlynn struck the post before Jamie McMonagle Quinn restored Fintown’s lead with a 25‑yard screamer in the 85th minute. Referee Marty McGarrigle oversaw the match.

Kildrum took the lead against St Catherine’s when Gavin McGee headed directly from a corner. Neo McCormack added a second with a powerful strike in the second half, sealing a clean sheet and three points for Kildrum.

In other fixtures, Gweedore Celtic Reserves fell 4‑1 to Fanad Utd after Fanad’s late surge, and Arranmore were beaten 3‑1 by Lagan, with Martin McGarrigle and Faolan Gibson scoring.

These results highlight a competitive weekend across the county’s league divisions.
