The Young Curators national mentorship programme will bring its LASTA ‘26 festival to Limerick’s Belltable later this month, featuring a film screening and a variety show.

Co‑curators Marcus Cropper and Ilinca Luca have programmed two events for the venue. On Wednesday 28 October the classic comedy 9 to 5 will be shown at 5 pm and 7.30 pm, presented by Luca and Cropper as a tribute to one of its performers. Tickets cost €8, with a reduced rate of €5.

Friday 30 October at 7.30 pm the festival will present “Nighttime Medley”, a variety show billed as a celebration of “mischief makers and beautiful oddities”. The programme includes performances by Day Magee, drag clown Whimsy and Limerick‑based dance artist Alex Vostokova. Tickets are €15, with a €10 concession.

Vostokova, an Associate Artist with Dance Limerick, will perform the piece Pit, which examines public space and urban ecology. Magee’s work centres the body in time and space, while Whimsy blends “silly with seductive” in drag clown performances. The festival is supported by the Arts Council and Dance Ireland.
