Woman sentenced to 2 years 9 months for laundrette robbery
A 47‑year‑old woman, Ennis Dunne, was sentenced by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to two years and nine months…

Two signs have been cut down and a third defaced on the Leghowney Loop Walk, prompting plans for temporary CCTV cameras.
The 7km scenic trail, which starts and finishes at Leghowney Community Hall near Barnesmore Gap, runs through the townlands of Straness and Aughlim. The hall committee said it was “deeply disappointed” by the unlawful damage.
Gardaí in Donegal Town have been notified and are investigating the incidents. In response, temporary CCTV cameras are being installed along the route to deter further vandalism and assist in identifying those responsible.
The community hall group has appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to contact Donegal Town Garda Station. Walkers are also being urged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
The statement from the committee expressed hope that the damage will cease and that the Leghowney Loop Walk can continue to be enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
