Gardaí seek witnesses after young man killed in N21 crash

A 20‑year‑old man from Glin, County Limerick, died when his car left the N21 at Cummeen, Adare and struck a tree in the early hours of Sunday, 20 September.

The driver, identified as Nathan Browne, was travelling with two other males. Both were taken to hospital; one man in his 20s remains in critical condition, while the other, in his late teens, is being treated for non‑life‑threatening injuries, Gardaí said.

Browne’s mother, Teresa Patricia Keane, posted photographs and a tribute on social media, describing her son as “beautiful” and expressing that life will be “so hard” without him.

The funeral will be held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Glin (V94 YC66) on Thursday, 24 September, from 5 pm to 7 pm, with a mass at 12 pm on Friday and burial in Kilfergus Cemetery.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was on the N21 between 2.15 am and 2.45 am on 20 September and may have dash‑cam or other footage to contact Henry Street Garda Station on 061‑212400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
