Donnacha Hurley has resigned as chief executive of Limerick Chamber.

Hurley, who joined the Chamber in March after serving as general manager of the Absolute Hotel, will become general manager of the Strand Hotel in Limerick.

In a statement, Hurley said he valued the opportunity to lead the Chamber and work with its team, board and members, and expressed excitement about returning to the hospitality sector.

Limerick Chamber President Maria Gleeson thanked Hurley for his contribution and wished him success in his new role, noting that he will remain an important part of the Limeric business community.

The Chamber’s senior leadership team will oversee day‑to‑day operations during the transition, with the board providing overall oversight. The board will later consider longer‑term leadership arrangements and will communicate further in due course.
