The annual Raphoe Colour Run and Community Festival will take place on Saturday, 3 October, from 11 am to 5 pm.…

The Scratch will play live at the Big Top, Limerick Milk Market this Friday, 2 October, as part of the tour for their third album, Pull Like A Dog.
Pull Like A Dog was released in March by Sony Music Ireland. The title comes from a phrase used by Irish Olympic rowers Gary and Paul O’Donovan in a 2016 interview, meaning “send it” and encouraging gusto, according to band member Daniel “Lango” Lang.
The new record refines the acoustic/electric folk‑metal fusion heard on their previous album, Mind Yourself, and the band describes it as their most polished and high‑octane release to date. Guitarist Conor said the album reflects openness, perseverance and positivity, marking a new beginning for the group.
The Scratch’s profile rose after a 2017 Rory Gallagher International Festival set went viral. Their 2023 album Mind Yourself debuted at number one on the Irish Vinyl Charts, number three on the IRMA Weekly Album Chart, earned a Choice Music Prize nomination and led to an appearance on The Late Late Show. Their music has also featured in the Netflix drama House of Guinness.
Recent touring highlights include supporting the Dropkick Murphys in the US, opening for Dermot Kennedy in Australia and playing the UK’s Download Festival before returning to Ireland for the Milk Market show.
